In 1696 the author of Khulasa tul Tawareekh, Sujan Ray wrote that the founder of Lahore was Loh - the son of Ram chandera.

In 1996 Mir Sayed Bhukhari in his book “Lahore Tareekh k Aina ma” had tried to prove that Lahore of Swabi is the real Lahore and it is not right to say that Lahore located near River Ravi is the old Lahore.
Munshi M.Ramzan published a article in Paper- Naway e Waqt in which he tried to prove that old lahore was located in Mianwali and the Lahore of Swabi and lahore situated near Ravi river are not oldest.

Alblazari:
An Arabic auther named Alblazari in his book Fatooh-Albladan used the name of Alahwar. Accroding to him in 664 Lahore was attacked by Mahlab bin Safra in the rule of Ameer Mawia (R.A). Here the point to be noted is that in 664 Lahore do not seems on the historic maps India. Moreover in 713 when Muhammad Bin Qasim came ot Inida, Lahore was not existing.
Saying of Prof. M.Saleem
The Alahwar of Albalazari means that Lahore was situated near Tarbaila and upto tthe Attak on the Sindh river.
So conclusively we can say Alahwar of Albalazari does not mean lahore that we all know today.
2-In Persian book named Hadood ul Alam the name of Lahwer is found. This book was written in about 982 A.D. However according to the books at that times Hindu ruler Jay Pal was the famous ruler.
Saying of Prof. Mainorsaki:
He mentioned that this book also mention that there were trees of Coconet, Almond and Pinus Gerardiana Seeds. These trees are only grown in cold and mountainous region but the Lahore situated near Ravi has no such atmoshpere saitable for such plants.
So conclusively The Lahore discussed in this book was located near Azad kashmir. Whrere atmosphere is cold suitable for thr growth of thsese trees.
Albaroni
The famous auther of a book Kitab ul Hind named Albaroni used the name of Lohawer. In another book he mentioned Lohawar and Lohor and at one place he named Lohor as Lahwer. According to him Lahore was located near eastern boarder of canal Ayrawa i.e. the old Sansikrat name of River Ravi.
He tried to tell us that Lohawer and Lahur or Lahor were both different places or locations. Lohaur was situated near Ravi river whereas lahwer or Lahor was situated in western direction of Klaraj mountains.i.e. in south of kashmir.
